Content Objective:
Given internet tools, primary sources, and collaboration, students will
be able to create a presentation over life during the Renaissance analyzing
music, art, literature, and cultural norms by working with a partner in
an English class to evaluate Renaissance literature and how they explain the
changes in Europe during that time.
When:
late October/early November
Tools used:
Today's Meet, Google Docs, Glogster, Weebly, Blogger, Diigo.
Plan:
Students will be assigned on a one to one partnership with a student in a
same grade level English class. They will use Diigo sources provided by
the teachers to create a presentation explaining how the piece of
literature they were given demonstrates the historical time period.
Collaboration:
English II class
I like the interdisciplinary nature of your assignment. The ELA levels have put in a tremendous amount of work this summer making the concepts and skills students should know and be able to do explicit based on STAAR standards. It might be a good idea to have some conversations-that-lead-to-action(whether formal or informal) about others ways the two disciplines can support each other. I think your idea is a great example of one way to do this.
